Hanging with the Mayor

Jeff of LA, the premium latex designer for the Stockroom and Syren, and I attended a fancy event last night. We got invited to the West Hollywood Mayor's Reception held at the The Factory in West Hollywood. We were asked to help represent the fetish/ leather community and wear our "dress leathers." Don't you just love the phrase "dress leathers"? It was a great excuse to don one of my favorite Syren designs, the Heidi Dress in black. And can I tell you? Jeff of LA looked absolutely hot hot hot in his leathers!

The whole affair was attended by quite a wide range of the West Hollywood and gay movers and shakers. The mayor looked snappy with his fancy suit and toehead blonde hair, and said some rousing words about the importance of gay pride in these times. Many people were honored with community achievement awards. Dave Rhodes, of the long standing Leather Journal, won a community award. Congratulations Dave!

Jeff and I had a chance to talk to Brad Gagne, one of the organizers for this year's Erotic City event, Bo Mulder from the OCLA, and Mistress Ceyenne, the founder of DomCon. Everyone was dressed to the nines, looking fantastic, hobnobbing while eating delicious tuna tartar and raspberry chocolates. Not a bad night out for schmoozing and frolic.
