The Stockroom recently added the Toybag Guide to Foot and Shoe Worship to our list of books by Midori. What is it about the feet and shoes that sparks so much excitement to such a wide range of people?

I am fascinated by the architecture of shoes. It takes great skill to construct a stunningly beautiful shoe that gracefully balances the foot and carries the weight of the whole human body. Shoes say so much about a person. If the shoes aren't sexy, the wearer doesn't stand a chance. When I see someone wearing socks with Tivas, I want to make a citizens arrest! There ought to be a law! Contact the Fashion Police!

There is an extremely sexy chapter in Mistress Nan's autobiographical book, My Private Life- Real Experiences of a Dominant Woman. Nan discovers a shared proclivity when she shops for a new pair of shoes at a high end shoe store in the city. The shoe salesman offers to personally deliver an especially gorgeous pair of shoes to Nan's high rise apartment. You can guess what transpired from there...

It reminds me of a scene with Charlotte and a shoes salesman from Sex in the City. Charlotte learns what power a pretty pair of feet can have. And yes, she gets the shoes she covets in the end.

I've always enjoyed the extra creative, offbeat pair of sexy shoes. I am a huge fan of Canada's John Fluevog line. I was thrilled to find out that there is a John Fluevog store in Los Angeles on Melrose. He designs shoes that offer strange, sci fi angles, and voluptuous heels.

Corsets Corsets Corsets

Corsets corsets corsets.... I suspect these fetish beauties will continually be reinvented in pop culture and fashion for decades to come. Of course, in the fetish world, it is a beautiful constant.

Leave it to Madonna to find a new way to wear a corset. I never would have thought to pair a corset with a shiny purple disco leotard, circa Studio 54. A usual, I love it, and the new album and the single. Of course, the gal is not new to corsets, she's been wearing them for ages- the Gaultier corset for the Like A Virgin number with the cone bra caused a stir in its time.

The Stockroom has started carrying a delicious selection of new corsets. I've got my eye on the pink and black beauty with the ruffles. Yummy! And the naughty corset dress that exposes the whole backside is wonderfully dangerous as well. It's great at featuring the curvaceous booty.

Men in corsets is another fascinating genre. There are a couple of striking photos Fakir Musafar took of himself in the 1950s in a corset. The pics are in his wild collection of modern primitive photography, Spirit + Flesh. That oversized, hardback photo book has some of the most extreme body modification, piercing, etc. I have ever seen. Annie Sprinkle and Midori are captured in this book as well. And they are both in corsets, natch.

Geoff Cordner also took an amazing photo of a male in a corset as part of his series of photos on his Punk Erotic website. I love the juxtaposition of the tattoos and the sleek black corset.

Robbie D. and Jackie Beat

Can I tell you? Robbie D is a nut! I attended, at the suggestion of Diamondback Annie, the cabaret show at the Cavern Club theater called, Go to Church. This insanely good show will run almost weekly (this Sunday, off in May, back in June) and feature some semi-regular players. The ironic, very blashphemous alterna-show features rock 'n roll drag queens, burlesque dancing, gut-busting weird stand-up comedy and surreal sketches. Diamondback Annie's Elvis routine was brilliant, and Jackie Beat's aggressive drag church lady was hilarious. Who knew holy self righteousness could be so funny?

My favorite new clever and wacky Stockroom sex toy is the "How May I Help You?" Gag. It's a gag with removable, interchangeable parts that enable the gag wearer to dust furniture, carry a drink on a serving tray, shine boots, and even clean the commode! Designed by Seattle-based artist and kink player, Scott Paul, this gag brings subbie service to a whole new level.

DomCon 2006

I love the Dominatrix Convention. DomCon, that is. It took place last weekend in Los Angeles near the airport. Mistress Cyan, I believe, started the whole thing. She was there, in all her bad-ass finery. This little convention focuses on dom culture and the best doms on the planet. I am so glad the Stockroom agreed to have a presence there again.

In preparation for this event, I got to visit the Syren store and do a little shopping. Big News! Stockroom just recently bought Syren, and now their amazing production staff will be creating the Latex Couture in our very own building! Did you know that Michelle Pfeiffer's catsuit in Batman was made by Syren? Meow indeed!

Anyway, I got to pick out a few gems to wear at the convention in celebration of the acquisition. Juli picked out a fetching black halter top with the hook and eye front.

I picked out a puffy sleeved ruffly number that I nicknamed the Evil Snow White dress. Where's my poison apple?

Juli Crocket and I started off the weekend on Friday. I enjoyed posing for photos with our booth mascot, the Two Toned Dog Hood. Man's best friend? Yes indeed. I talked to owner of the Red Buns Inn and Princess Kali. She had a sub hooked up with an elaborate shoulder saddle and was taking a cowgirl ride all over the convention. Love that eccentric and beautiful dom. I enjoyed visiting with the Dominion gals, especially Mistress Allie. She's always so sassy and charming.

Diamondback Annie also made an appearance at our booth, in a superb nurse's outfit from Trashy Lingerie! She worked the crowd most of the weekend. Mistress Nan, the author of the amazing book about real life dom stories, My Private Life, did a book signing at the event as well.

To all of those who are fans of the author Patrick Califia, who wrote the sizzling hot Macho Sluts and much much more, I want to direct you to his Live Journal. He just had a heart attack. Diamondback Annie and the Merkin

Ever since I saw the great Diamondback Annie burlesque (I am using burlesque as a verb- just for kicks) her way down to shiny gold hot pants from an Elvis vegas outfit, I've been a devoted fan. She's got a bunch of gigs coming up so you can be converted as well!



She's also doing Elvis at a new lesbian club at the Palms. She's performing on opening night, which is Thursday, April 20. I think the other performer that eve is Rebekah Del Rio, and plus many other glamourous girls.

And finally, she'll be in Robbie D's new weekly show on Sundays at the Cavern Club starting off on the 23rd of April. She'll be doing her ZZ Top 80's stripper number, complete with Billy Gibbonsesque merkin and lacy white anklets!



I surfed the web for a great link for the Merkin, and found this amazing site! It's called Merkin World. They can make a specially designed merkin just for you! Wow! I like the 8-ball and the British Flag. What a find.
