Fukuoku Delights

How about a toy review for you?

I got inspired by our new Japanese vibrating wonder, the Fukuoku Massage Gloves. Our purchasing manager, Chris, first discovered these at the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco. He was strolling about the fair, checking out the goods, when the Fukuoku vender came up behind him (Can this guy detect a buyer from miles away? ESP for business?) and started massaging his shoulders with the vibrating gloves. That got his attention!

Needless to say, Chris bought the gloves and flew them back to our fine city. He tried the same shoulder massage out on me. Zowie! I swear, all my troubles melted away in seconds. The combination of human hands manipulating vibrators at the fingertips was delicious. I felt like my shoulders were bathing in vibrations. I could feel the strong vibrations travel from the top of my head, all the way down my spine. And that’s just touching the shoulders!

What sets these gloves apart from other vibrators is how integrated the vibrators are with the dexterity of the human hand. Apply as much pressure as you want, let the fingers do the walking. The use of these gloves can be sensual and relaxing, or they can blow your mind. I recommend getting one for each hand. This handy device was even featured the Marie Claire's Top Ten Ways to Orgasm!

The Japanese have the greatest inventions, don't they? I bet these gloves are much more exciting than those fancy high tech Japanese toilets I keep hearing about.

No Muss No Fuss

Ahhhh… 2005 is drawing to a close. How are you going to celebrate? I’ve got a couple of ideas for you! The Erotic Museum is at it again with another rollicking party. You’ve got to check out the page- the 70’s ménage a trois photo is hilarious, and the candids from last year’s party are fantastic. The legendary Porn Star Ron Jeremy attended last year. Along with some very sexy kinksters. The Stockroom will be representing, as well as the uber sexy Dominion ladies. The Erotic Museum promises to offer delightful refreshments, and a screen that classic, Valley of the Dolls. Hollywood Boulevard is amazing during the holidays. When Julie Crockett and I attended the Erotic Museum Halloween party, one of the highlights was just strolling down the Walk of Stars and people watching. The energy is at high voltage on these nights.

Are you looking for even more glamour fetish and BDSM fun? The The Bondage Ball will be held at the Henry Fonda theater this year.

Then comes that very important question…… what are you going to wear? How about showing off that luscious bosom with the classic Open Breast Chest Harness. I have always said it’s more fun if it’s messy (this applies to everything- from sex to food to home decorating), so why not look great and be prepared with a rubber apron? Wipe clean. No muss, no fuss.

Masuimi Max in Vegas

We’re going to Vegas, baby! It’s that time of the year again, where silicone-breasted porn stars of every ilk gather in Sin City to the delight the porn enthusiast masses. Mostly men between the ages of 20-60 wait in line for hours, cough up the $45 they just won at the roulette table at Treasure Island, and collect signatures and photo candids from the ladies of their dreams.

It’s a flesh circus. There are three story tall exhibits with giant stripper poles and live showers and movie screens. And booth after booth of porn, sex toys and gear. Talk about sensory overload. And celebrities. I’ve seen Mike Tyson and Larry Flynt, to name a couple, turning heads.

We are bringing our own celebrity. She’s much cuter than Mike or Larry. It’s the unsinkable Masuimi Max. That’s her real name and her claim to fame. I got to know and love Masuimi through the lovely photography of Steve Diet Goedde. Masuimi is featured on the cover of Steve’s DVD, Living Through Steve Diet Goedde. There’s a plucky little interview with Masuimi featured in the DVD.

Here website is a pin-up girl, pulp fiction fiesta of fun. (Okay, I’m a little heavy on the alliteration today. That happens when I get excited.) I learned a lot about her vast amount of projects she’s worked on on this site. In addition to being the cutest damn fetish model for Steve, the Stockroom, a bazillion magazines, and hotsy totsy sites like Trashy Lingerie and Titmore and Asspley (love the name), she’s also got some movie work under her belt. She plays the girlfriend in the action flick, State of the Union, and will be acting in the highly anticipated new David Lynch movie, Inland Empire. I am a huge David Lynch fan. I am very excited to check Masuimi out in this.

Masuimi will be at the AVN fan booth in Vegas next week, January 6th and 7th, from noon to 6pm. Bring your cameras! I plan on bringing mine.

I'm in Vlog Heaven

The wait is finally over! The RocknRolltv.net episode is live today! What a treat to come back from vacation to this. All of the humor and playfulness of their visit totally translated onto this little VLOG. Bam’s video artistry made little pink dildos rocket through the air and the Stockroom.com logo blaze with fire.

Goddess Bless the internet for being able to discuss vaginal hooks and urethral sounds on cyber TV! Plus, there is a hot and sexy video by Bif Naked at the tail end. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Share and Bam, the dynamic duo, post at least a couple of VLOGS a week, so be sure to bookmark their site.

Los Angeles residents should check out Outfest’s showing of the film, Mr. Leather, about nine hunky contestants that reveal dreams and struggles as they compete for the coveted title of Mr. L.A. Leather. Wednesday January 11, 7:30pm, Rigler Theatre at the historic Egyptian Theater.

And I’ve got great news for Vegas-bound Masuimi Max fans! The fantastically gorgeous fetish model will be at the Stockroom Fan Booth at AVN! I am told she is just a joy in person. I promise to write a big blog about her tomorrow.

Aeon Flux

Some of you may remember a few posts back that Eddy of www.Freddyandeddy.com compared me to a cross between Doris Day and Aeon Flux. Well, I just saw the movie last night! I tell ya, that Charleze Theron can do no wrong in my eyes. She was a very sexy, strong, engaging Aeon Flux. I highly recommend this sci-fi treat. The visuals were clever and well designed, and the gadgets were very cool. I love gadgets..........

Pocasts

Nova and Atticus, the gorgeous dynamic duo who make up Fetish Flame, let me know their newest podcast with Midori has just gone live! I love podcasts, but I do think its ironic that some of the most lovely looking people….Nova, Atticus, Midori, are heard and not seen! Ahhhh, but the dulcet sounds of naughty topics discussed in my ear through the podcast is quite delicious. Midori gets to tell some of her erotic, pervy stories for the MP3 crowd.

Fetish Flame also did a great interview with the sublime photographer Steve Diet Goedde, just a few pocasts back. The Stockroom is carrying his 2006 calendar. Who wouldn’t want to look at the lovely ladies he captures every month of the year? Masuimi Max graces the cover, and one of my favorite images of Dita Von Teese made it into this calendar.

RocknRollTV.net

I had a great time giving RocknRollTV.net’s Share and Bam tour of the Stockroom! They shot it on video for their latest episode. Share and Bam are this fabulous married Rock ‘n Roll couple that have impressive rock cred from all sorts of angles. They have both been in all sorts of bands. Bam runs Bam 13 Films, who captures the likes of Chris Rock and Limp Bizkit. Share and Bam are both in the band, Bubble, and Share runs a knitting group. As Share put it, crafting is the new Rock ‘n Roll.

While giving a tour, Share signed a CD of her old band, Vixen for Eddie Electra of the band, Peppermint Creeps. They just ran into each other here. As we like to say here at the office, there is never a dull moment at the Stockroom.

Share and I instantly felt like giggling sisters and ran down the isles pulling out various sex toys and BDSM gear and talking about them for the camera. I think the show is going to be slightly informative and very, very silly. We had fun discussing a number of products, but the extreme play toys were the most fun.

Share tried on a perforated leather hood. She said looking through all the pin holes reminded her of this eye therapy doctors use to correct vision. Imagine, a BDSM hood that improves your eyesight! I also had fun chasing her down the aisle with a bamboo cane. Bam said that cane is just what they used on him as a boy in school in London! It’s funny how things come full circle.

Share and Bam have this great chemistry and repartee that makes the show work. Their episodes are compelling and very entertaining. I adore Bam's British accent, and Share's California rock star charm. They just started this project a few months ago, and it is really taking off. Thousands of people have seen their VLOGS (that's video-blogs!)so far. I feel honored to be a part of this show.

I'll let you know as soon as the episode is live!

Marquis De Sade

I finally got around to seeing Quills, the brilliant movie about the Marquis De Sade. First of all, actor Geoffrey Rush can do no wrong. His interpretation of Sade was compelling and without apology. (He also impressed me as Peter Sellers.) I thought the script of Quills was a perfect slice of drama to capture onscreen. I loved the open-minded dialogue involved in freedom of sexual expression. And Kate Winslet is hot cha cha as the virginal laundry lass who rebelliously helps get the Sade’s words published.

Being a thespian enthusiast, I first heard of the Marquis when I saw the film, Marat Sade- The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade. The film intrigued and discombobulated me. In other words, I loved it.

I also ran across Sade in my favorite comic, The Invisibles. He actually was a bit of a running character in that one. Frightening and seductive.

I am proud to mention that the Stockroom carries several of Sade’s books. How could we not? After all, sadism is named after the guy. I think the Marquis would have loved the Stockroom. In fact, I am sure he would have been our best customer. We’ve got 120 Days of Sodom, Justine, Juliette, and a book about his wife and mother-in-law called At Home with the Marquis De Sade. Read at your own risk!

Weddings

A friend of mine attended a kinky wedding last night. He said the ceremony was sweet and simple, but then the reception involved rope bondage and suspension with shiny white ropes to match the wedding gown! The groom agreed that the dress looked better in rope. And that’s one way to get the bride off her feet after wearing spike heels all evening.

Ceremonies of any kind fascinate me. I am always curious to see what symbols people incorporate, and what meaning they invite into their ritual. Weddings are loaded with symbology and ritual, so throw a couple (or more!) kinky folks into the mix, and the sky’s the limit.

There’s a great article in Salon.com about alternative weddings about whether people choose to continue leading an alternative lifestyle, or succumb to normalcy. The guys at Sexuality.org take the discussion a step further in Perverts Tie the Knot, and Test the Bonds.

I found this chat line dedicated just to forced feminization and Male Brides. It’s got some great photos. We carry a great book about alternative couples and ritual and etiquette called the Bride Wore Black Leather- and He Looked Fabulous. It’s very funny and useful! Male Brides may also benefit from The Lazy Crossdresser by Charles Anders. Charles is great at addressing self-acceptance and creativity as self-expression.

Of course, there’s a beginner’s bondage kit for the blushing bride called the Tie the Knot Kit, that includes soft cuffs, collar, blindfold and leash. Or if you are looking for a sturdy but super fabulous set of cuffs and collar to match your bride’s attire, we’ve got a whole line of white leather bondage ready for the wedding, or the reception.

Keep a lookout for the new Stockroom website that’s scheduled to go up in January- it shall include a gift registry!

Bazaar Bizarre Rocked

The Stockroom booth for Bazaar Bizarre took over one corner of the punky DIY craft fair, turned some heads and made some temperatures rise! We brought all of our finest handmade leather designs, and our designer, J. Mysterioso, along with our spunky gals Diamond Back Annie and Juli Crockett.

The crowd was fantastic. There was a line around the block waiting for the fair to open, and throngs of alternative shoppers filled the hall all day. Along with plenty of vendors, there was a raffle, and a cake walk.

I enjoyed checking who checked out the Stockroom booth with wayward glances, and who marched right up and proudly proclaimed they were already on the mailing list! This crowd enjoyed the cuffs, blindfolds, and that hilarious Laundry Day t-shirt by Carol Lay. I felt this real sense of camaraderie at the event. People were proud to skip the mainstream shopping malls and buy from the creative individual. We felt very proud to be part of this event.

Be on the lookout for a couple of documentaries about alternative craft fairs. The Stockroom folks will be in them! And RocknRollTV.net will be interviewing yours truly as I give them a tour of our giant toy wherehouse.

This morning my jaw dropped as a I read a MSNBC Sex Toy Shopping Guide. They were extolling the virtues (pun intended!) of the CB 3000 chastity device! I had no idea such a mainstream news source would dare speak of such things! Our culture really is opening up to new sexual adventures.

Delicious Drama

I am proud to announce that I got my first complaint by email! I feel like an official sex culture correspondent now. Legit. It read:

I think that it is terrible of you to vulgarize Denza's Funiculi Funicula. There is enough perversion in this world already. Why don't you be content with that and stop trying to pervert what little clean intertainment there is? Hmph!

Now, I feel for this anonymous emailer. There are some days where I get to work early, I’ve just made a cup of tea, and I open up my email and it’s all XXX porn content, extreme BDSM dungeon adventures, etc., and I’m just not in the mood for it. I would rather curl up in my PJs and watch the Sound of Music. Luckily, I don’t usually have too much resistance to writing about sex toys.

I understand, dear reader, that you may not want your favorite Italian opera song soiled by a happy perv’s alternative lyrics. That’s okay. We all have our limits. Keep in mind, I didn’t write the lyrics. I merely passed them along. I got even more responses from delighted opera fans that loved the naughty lyrics. I have a feeling there are a large portion of kinky opera lovers out there. Opera and Kink both contain so much delicious drama!

For all who are missing their lovers/playmates who are off on a family holiday without you, we’ve got a lovely new way for you to share naughtiness via cyberspace. The High Joy Internet Enabled Rabbit Vibrator allows you to hook this vibrating rabbit to your computer and let the other end control the vibrations.

Another option, if you plan ahead, and want to have a lovely reminder of your lover’s errr… member…. how about “cloning” it and using it as a vibrator? We’ve got the Clone-a-Willy vibrator kit just for you. Hee hee.

I am looking forward to the Bazaar Bizarre this weekend. It’s been getting plenty of press. C’mon by and check out our booth, and all the amazing craftiness!

Violet Blue’s Tiny Nibbles

The buzz around the office is that the Stockroom’s trusty publishing company, Daedalus Publishing, is in the midst of getting together Violet Blue’s new book. No title yet- it’s that new! I adore Violet Blue. She’s got the sass, the smarts, and sexy savvy. She’s a great contributor to the world of sex positive education and culture.

I read every new blog on her website, Tiny Nibbles. Her blog is a fascinating mix of tales of her travel to places like AVN Vegas and artsy San Francisco happenings, stories about her gig as Assistant Editor of Fleshbot, to reports about her wild robot battle shows with Survival Research Lab. Her candid, opinionated, often hilarious entries make me feel like I’m right on the adventures with her.

In addition to all this, she’s the queen of editing erotic anthologies. The Stockroom has her book geared towards couples called Sweet Life. I read it and really appreciated the couples angle. I would love to see the couples angle worked out in many more aspects of sex education and culture.

Her Ultimate Guide to Cunnilingus and Ultimate Guide to Fellatio break it all down and make the world a better place for lip-licking good times.
